Arrival Itinerary

So I have officially received my arrival itinerary, letting me know my role, which park/resort I’ll be working in, the zone as well as my housing location.

For my work role I did not receive my desired role, I really wanted to be a park greeter but ended up getting attractions (meaning that I’m a ride operator and work the queue, and can also do stuff with shows). Being honest this was a real big blow to me and I felt so gutted and disappointed with not getting the role that I wanted or the location that I wanted. However I am determined to make the most of this program and go in with an open mind. So I went through and did some more research into my work location and ended up becoming really excited and looking forward to working there.

I will be working at Animal Kingdom in DinoLand USA. That’s all that I know so far and am now super excited to be working there and meeting everyone else I will be working with.

For my housing location I found out that I received Patterson Court as my complex. This was my third choice of complex and I was indifferent to receiving here as I didn’t really know much about it and didn’t really research it. However since looking into the complex I have to say that I am super excited that I will be living here. Yes I don’t have a bus stop and have to walk to Chatham Square to catch a bus, however this isn’t a problem for me and I am looking forward to always getting some exercise in. Although torrential rain days may be an issue but that’s what Uber is for.

I don’t know my what apartment style I have, but am really hoping for a 3 bedroom 6 person apartment. Ultimately I just really don’t want to get assigned a 1 bedroom 2 person apartment as I really can’t live off minimum wage/hours and that rent. True to my original thoughts on Patterson I am indifferent to the 2 bedroom 5 person and the 1 bedroom 3 person apartments, not my favourite but not the end of the world if I end up with a bunk.

Just 2 more days and I will be on my way to Disney World. It is all starting to feel that much more real now with all this information and how close it is to flying over and starting with Disney. Thankfully everything is all done now except for packing (bedding ordered through Dormco, exchanged money, gotten the odds and ends etc). Bring on this epic journey
